If you're looking for an activity that your child can get excited about, you've found it!
At the Conestoga Sailing School we are always busy and always having a good time, whether we're indoors on a rainy day learning sailing theory and knots, out on the water practicing new skills, or relaxing with games and a swim after an exciting day on the lake. It's always a lot of fun.
The Conestoga Sailing School is equipped to handle students ages 9 - 18 of all ability levels. Novice sailors will learn the basics of sailing in a fun and friendly environment. Advanced students will hone their skills by learning performance boat handling techniques, including the use of spinnaker and trapeze to go top speed. They will also receive an introduction to racing. The various CYA Learn-to-Sail programs offered use club boats that are appropriate for the students level of ability and size. All of the sailing programs offered by the club are recognized by the Canadian Yachting Association (CYA), so gaining a level at Conestoga is recognized anywhere in Canada.
Our CYA certified Instructors also have First Aid, Powerboat handling, Bronze Medallion swimming and NCCP coaching theory certification and are excited about delivering a great summer program for your children. Our programs are conducted at the Conestoga Sailing Club on Conestoga Lake, 30 minutes northwest of KW. Bus transportation is available from K-W and Elmira. Our daily schedule is listed at the bottom of the page.
