Every summer the Conestoga Sailing School hosts a dedicated sail training program for youth and adults. To operate the sailing school we have a staff of six, CYA certified coaches. If you are interested in joining the Conestoga Sailing School please download an application form. Positions at the Conestoga Sailing School
Director
The Director is the team leader; they are in charge of the day to day management of the sailing school. The Director will work closely with the Vice Commodore to deliver a successful sail training program. A typical candidate should possess their CYA Red coaching level.
Head instructor
This position is typically the next most experienced candidate with at least a CYA blue coaching level. The Head instructors function is to guide the other instructors and step into a lead role in the absence of the director.
Instructor
A minimum CYA Green coaching level is required to coach with the Conestoga Sailing School. Instructors are given class assignments that rotate through out the summer, giving everyone a chance to teach different skills.
